Prudential Fund Management Berhad Appoints Hiten Asher as Chief Financial Officer

Prudential Fund Management Berhad (PFMB) has appointed Mr Hiten Asher as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.  

In his new role, Mr Asher will be responsible for the strategic planning, accounting and financial management of the fund business. Working closely with the PFMB management and our regional offices, Mr Asher will play an instrumental part in helping to drive the performance and deliver continued growth of PFMB in both the Malaysian market and regional market.

Mr Asher's career with Prudential began ten years ago in India when he was part of the Finance team with ICICI Prudential Asset Management where he was responsible for business management information systems (MIS), strategy and business planning.  He moved to Singapore in early 2006 to assume the role of Head of Strategy, Planning and Finance with Prudential Asset Management Singapore (PAMS). Subsequently, Mr Asher was promoted to the new role of Director, Business Management for PAMS and concurrently assumed a dual role as Chief Financial Officer for Prudential Asset Management Ltd, United Arab Emirates (PAM, UAE). He was responsible to implement the strategic expansion of our presence in the emerging markets in Asia and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, as well as managing the finance of PAMS and PAM, UAE.

Hiten has proven himself as a strong business leader with immense knowledge in the strategic planning and finance arena of the regional asset management industry.
