Introduction

Whether we like it or not, there's an element of risk involved in most things that we do. Which, not surprisingly, includes investing.

Of course, if prices remained fixed, interest rates didn't move, companies didn't go under and the stockmarket didn't wobble, we'd all be happy. But while this isn't the case, risk is not necessarily a bad thing. Once you've learned how it can be managed, you can actually use it to work in your favour.

The level of risk you're prepared to take will depend on your personal circumstances and investment goals, as well as your personal attitude to risk.

Everyone knows that the higher the risk, the higher the potential rewards. But, are you at a stage in your life where you are willing to accept such risk?

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself to help you work out your attitude to risk. Complete the following questionnaire to help determine your risk profile
