Bor Ngee Wha joined Eastspring Investments Berhad ("Company") as Chief Financial Officer effective September 2016. He is responsible for analysing and driving profitability for our business, and developing and executing long term business plans with the senior management team for the Company.

Bor has over 20 years of financial services experience. He was previously attached to Manulife Asset Management Services Berhad as Chief Officer – Finance & Product, and was responsible for product development, fund accounting and finance. Before that, Bor was with MAA-KL where he was a pioneer with the management team that started the company.

Bor is a certified member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), a certified Financial Planner (CFP) of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), and Capital Markets and Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) holder for fund management. He holds a Degree in Bachelor of Science with Honours in Economics & Accountancy from the City University of London.

Mohit joined Eastspring Investments Berhad in April 2015 as the chief operating officer heading the retail operations, client services, fund accounting and information technology functions. Working across the key developed and emerging markets of Asia, Mohit has held senior positions in leading global organisations like Prudential and General Electric (“GE”). Starting his career with GE Capital in India, he worked across multiple functions like sales, operations and Six Sigma before going on to head the risk team in India. Later he joined the Prudential group to establish the risk management functions for its life insurance business in India. Subsequently he moved to Singapore to head the operational risk and financial crime function for the Singapore and Hong Kong businesses of Eastspring Investments. Mohit is a certified Six-Sigma Black Belt and Claritas Certificate Holder from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

Yap Siok Hoon joined Eastspring Investments Berhad (“Company”) in November 2013 as chief sales and marketing officer, responsible for the development and execution of the Company’s  distribution, product and marketing strategies. Siok Hoon brings with her more than twenty (20) years of financial industry experience covering retail and institutional business development, sales and marketing, distribution channel development, training and product development. Prior to joining the Company, Siok Hoon was head of the retail client solutions and services group of a well established fund management company in Malaysia, overseeing the management company’s retail unit trust business. She started her career with Hong Leong Asset Management Berhad (HLAM) in April 1997 and has held many senior management positions, ultimately rising to a position of general manager, client solutions group in 2011. Siok Hoon holds a Bachelor (First Class Honours) in Business Administration degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Doreen Choo, Chief Investment Officer, Eastspring Investments Berhad (EIB), is responsible for all asset classes and investment performance, as well as the growth and development of our investment offering in Malaysia.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Doreen joins us from CIMB Principal Asset Management where she has worked for the past 13 years, initially as an equity fund manager and subsequently as Head of Equities in 2015.

Doreen previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as Manager, Valuation & Strategy (Corporate Advisory) with a particular focus on equity valuations across industries.

Doreen is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University Malaya.

Lewis joined Eastspring Investments Berhad (“Company”) in August 2015, as chief human resources officer, responsible for the human resource and administration department.

Lewis brings with him more than fourteen (14) years of human resource experience covering compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relationship and human resource systems. Prior to joining the Company, he was with Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad for six (6) years where he was instrumental in driving improvements to the company’s rewards, performance and benefits framework as well as leading the human resource relationship management team. He also spearheaded the human resource systems and process improvements that helped shape Prudential Assurance Malaysia’s human resource department. Prior to Prudential Assurance Malaysia, Lewis also worked in human resources for Hong Leong Bank and AIA. Lewis holds a Bachelor in Accounting & Finance from Oxford Brooke University.

Benothini  Bascaran joined Eastspring Investments Berhad on 28 April 2017. She is responsible for driving and managing effective framework and controls in the areas of risk and compliance and in ensuring that the company consistently maintains a high and competitive standard of risk and compliance culture.

She has a total of 23 years of working experience of which almost 18 years were spent in Bursa Malaysia Berhad covering capital market regulation. Before joining Eastspring she was the Head of Group Compliance of one of the investment banks in Malaysia for about 4 years covering regulated businesses of the bank’s group which included asset management business.

Benothini graduated with Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Malaya in 1993 and practiced law for about 2 years before joining Bursa.
